About this bottle
Kinsey Rye Whiskey is a rye whiskey from United States. It is bottled at 43% ABV, in a 750 ml bottle. Producer tasting notes — on the nose: The rye comes through on the nose a bit strangely--it smells like pickles! Specifically the sweeter bread-and-butter variety, but that doesn't last long before dusty grains come through with rye bread and a touch of mint; on the palate: The flavor is dry and fruity, giving way to a fun cream soda note. A healthy amount of pepper lingers to make sure your first sip wasn't your last; finish: Lingering.

Serving & pairing
Rye’s peppery spice is the classic base for a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned. Pairs well with charcuterie and dark chocolate.
Rye versus bourbon — what is the difference?
Both are American whiskeys aged in new charred oak. Bourbon must be at least 51% corn, which gives sweetness; rye must be at least 51% rye grain, which gives pepper, spice and a drier finish. Canadian whisky is often called “rye” by tradition even when the mash bill contains little rye.
