What counts as a spirit?
A spirit is a distilled alcoholic drink, typically 35–60% ABV, made by fermenting a base (grain, grape, sugar cane, agave, fruit) and then distilling it. Liqueurs are sweetened, flavoured spirits and are usually lower in alcohol.
